You have a 30 day warranty period from the purchase date in which we can adjust your Welded chain (i.e make it looser or tighter) at no cost. 

If your Welded jewellery breaks within 30 days of your appointment, please contact our customer service team at to arrange a complimentary re-welding appointment. Make sure you keep your chain safe in the meantime. If your chain breaks outside of this 30 day period, it will be due to natural wear and tear and is not covered under warranty. You may however book a Welded aftercare appointment to have your bracelet re-welded at the cost of $30. 

If your chain breaks and is lost within 30 days of your appointment, we will offer a complimentary replacement. If this occurs outside this 30 day period, a replacement will be at a cost to the customer.

If you participate in contact sports or intense physical activity, or are undergoing any surgical / medical procedures, we recommend taping your Welded chain with Micropore first aid tape to protect it. 

If you need to have your Welded chain removed due to MRI's or x-rays, please use sharp scissors or cutting pliers to remove your chain as delicately as possible. Keep your chain stored safely until you can book in an aftercare appointment at your earliest convenience to have your chain re-welded.

If you spend consistent and extended periods of time in heated spas, chlorinated pools, hydrotherapy, etc, please reach out to us at to discuss your Welded chain options as chemically treated pools and spas can cause sterling silver jewellery to oxidise.



We will accept walk-ins where we can, but to avoid disappointment, we recommend making a booking.

Please let us know if you are unable to make your appointment. We require more than 24 hours notice of all cancellations, & in this instance, we will reschedule your appointment. If we are informed within 24 hours prior to your appointment, or you are a “no show”, you will be charged the appropriate cancellation fee for your chosen appointment. 

We will hold your appointment for 5-10 mins. Failure to arrive during this timeframe will result in a 'no show' cancellation and the cancellation fee will be charged.

Artefact kindly requests that you come to your appointment childfree. This is due to strict health and safety regulations in regards to our welding machine and our piercing studio where we work with sharps and hazardous waste. If you arrive at your appointment with your children, we will unfortunately have to cancel/reschedule your appointment and you will be charged the appropriate cancellation fee to the card on file.

For Welded services, the age requirement is 16 years of age and above. We require proof of age and a legal guardian to be present and to provide consent for those under 18 years of age. 

When booking online you will receive a confirmation email - please make sure that the correct time, date & services have been selected. Please arrive 5-10 mins prior to your appointment time to fill out any paperwork & so you can begin to select your adornments.
